来自福建的木车床师傅

早春时节,Michael Zhan 在福建的采购旅程中,偏离了寻茶的主要路线,前去拜访一位他在云南听一位普洱生产商提过的木车床师傅。这间工作室坐落于武夷山附近的一片竹林边缘,空气中交织着新切木料的气息与车床的低鸣声。这位师傅是第三代的木工匠人,大约十年前才开始制作茶器,他留意到茶人常用杯垫或废弃的陶片临时充当盖置。他渴望做出更具用心之感的对象 — 质地柔和、静谧无声,而且取自家乡茶园荫蔽下的樱桃树。每只半月形盖置都从休眠季节采下的树枝开始,那时树液稀少、木纹稳定。先以湿木状态车削成形,随后自然风干至少三个月,再进行最后的修整,并以食用山茶油处理。Michael 选择了一小批,共十八个盖置,令他着迷的是木头承载光线的方式 — 暖琥珀色的心材,部分还保留了较浅边材的纤细镶边。这样的故事正好契合 tea.toys 的理念:小巧的手工对象,在茶席上挣得一席之地,并随着使用而愈发美丽。

After repeated wettings, the wood takes on a darker, honeyed hue and absorbs faint tea fragrance into its grain.

Light almond and sandalwood notes emerge when warmed by a hot gaiwan lid, mingling with the tea’s own perfume.
