來自福建的木車床師傅

早春時節,Michael Zhan 在福建的採購旅程中,偏離了尋茶的主要路線,前去拜訪一位他在雲南聽一位普洱生產商提過的木車床師傅。這間工作室坐落於武夷山附近的一片竹林邊緣,空氣中交織著新切木料的氣息與車床的低鳴聲。這位師傅是第三代的木工匠人,大約十年前才開始製作茶器,他留意到茶人常用杯墊或廢棄的陶片臨時充當蓋置。他渴望做出更具用心之感的物件 — 質地柔和、靜謐無聲,而且取自家鄉茶園蔭蔽下的櫻桃樹。每只半月形蓋置都從休眠季節採下的樹枝開始,那時樹液稀少、木紋穩定。先以濕木狀態車削成形,隨後自然風乾至少三個月,再進行最後的修整,並以食用山茶油處理。Michael 選擇了一小批,共十八個蓋置,令他著迷的是木頭承載光線的方式 — 暖琥珀色的心材,部分還保留了較淺邊材的纖細鑲邊。這樣的故事正好契合 tea.toys 的理念:小巧的手工物件,在茶席上掙得一席之地,並隨著使用而愈發美麗。
