Michael Zhan 于 2024 年底在丁蜀主街旁的一条窄巷中结识了那位制作师傅。工作坊是一间单人房，里面有一台小脚踏辘轳、陈放熟泥的层架，以及一张炕桌，上面摆放着慢慢阴干的成品茶宠。这只青蛙出自一批十二件的作品，每件都是手工塑形 — 师傅将一小团深色紫砂泥放在拇指与食指间捏压，一气呵成地捏出腿部和腹部，再以竹篾勾勒出眼睛和嘴巴。没有模具，没有注浆。陶土与宜兴壶使用的紫砂同源，取自黄龙山附近的矿场，但烧制温度较低（约900°C），使得表面微带孔隙，能尽情啜饮茶汤。Michael 为我们的店铺挑选了色泽最深的作品 — 那些故意过烧以呈现炭黑色调的。青蛙是经典的茶宠主题：中文里「蛙」（wā）与「发」（财富）谐音，而盘上的青蛙也能招来雨水（与财运）。我们的货源完全透明：每只青蛙都附有一张小卡，标明师傅的印记及泥料批量。在茶盘的对角摆上两只 — 它们会一同老去，从同一壶茶中养出略有不同的包浆。
