Michael Zhan 於 2024 年底在丁蜀主街旁的一條窄巷中結識了那位製作師傅。工作坊是一間單人房，裡面有一台小腳踏轆轤、陳放熟泥的層架，以及一張炕桌，上面擺放著慢慢陰乾的成品茶寵。這隻青蛙出自一批十二件的作品，每件都是手工塑形 — 師傅將一小團深色紫砂泥放在拇指與食指間捏壓，一氣呵成地捏出腿部和腹部，再以竹篾勾勒出眼睛和嘴巴。沒有模具，沒有注漿。陶土與宜興壺使用的紫砂同源，取自黃龍山附近的礦場，但燒製溫度較低（約900°C），使得表面微帶孔隙，能盡情啜飲茶湯。Michael 為我們的店鋪挑選了色澤最深的作品 — 那些故意過燒以呈現炭黑色調的。青蛙是經典的茶寵主題：中文裡「蛙」（wā）與「發」（財富）諧音，而盤上的青蛙也能招來雨水（與財運）。我們的貨源完全透明：每隻青蛙都附有一張小卡，標明師傅的印記及泥料批次。在茶盤的對角擺上兩隻 — 它們會一同老去，從同一壺茶中養出略有不同的包漿。
