这只锦鲤喷水茶宠由 Sandry Law 在前往中国历史悠久的瓷都景德镇采购时发掘。在探访古窑附近一簇小作坊时，她发现了李威大师，一位二代雕刻师，以其低调的动物造型与一丝不苟的青瓷釉色闻名。李威大师只使用当地的瓷石，自行调配泥浆，并在还原烧气窑中烧制，以达成青瓷特有的柔灰绿色调。每一尾锦鲤皆全手工塑形——鳞片以竹制工具压出，嘴部精准地倾斜，好让水流过舌头时产生轻柔的咕噜声。Sandry 挑选这件作品，正是看上它宁静的神情与可依赖的声响，与许多茶盘上常见的吵杂、水花四溅的喷水茶宠大相迳庭。喷水茶宠的传统，或说 pēnshuǐ cháchǒng（喷水茶宠），发源于宜兴与景德镇，是一种向茶盘致敬的玩趣方式；每次浇淋都在喂养茶宠，这小小的仪式加深了人与茶会的链接。这尾锦鲤承载着那份静谧精神，提醒我们即使是最微小的细节，也能将茶室化为一处心灵庇护所。
