在為星座系列店鋪尋找竹製茶器時,Michael Zhan 首次在福建永春郊區的一家小木雕工作室注意到一套纖細的櫻桃木夾。這家由父子檔經營的工作室,使用當地的櫻桃木和竹子製作茶道工具已有三十年。Michael 被櫻桃木的輕巧和木紋平滑、不會釋放樹脂的特性所吸引——樹脂可能會沾染細緻的烏龍茶。他請工藝師為現代功夫茶沖泡改良設計:將夾臂做得更薄,以適應30 ml茶杯的窄邊,握持處刻有淺淺的指槽,方便控制。每雙夾子都從一整塊木料成形,再以五種不同粗細的砂紙手工打磨,最後塗上兩層食品級礦物油。成品是一件安靜、符合人體工學的工具,融入儀式之中——小巧卻對實用茶盤不可或缺。Michael 現在每年兩度回到永春,親自挑選櫻桃木原材,並檢查各批次的品質一致性。這雙茶夾正是他2025年春季訪視的成果。
