那年秋天，Michael Zhan 前往宜興選茶，沿著未鋪裝的土路走到丁山鎮的邊緣。在那間比茶館大不了多少的工作室裡，一位不願透露姓名的師傅正在用數十年前從黃龍山蒐集的原礦捏塑 zhuni 烏龜。生坯細膩得像乾燥的蘋果皮。Michael 看著師傅將龜殼拱頂壓進手轉木模，再花兩個多小時以竹刀細修頭部與四肢。每一隻龜都在傳統龍窯中以低溫緩慢燒製，木柴的焰火帶出了泥料特有的暖橘色暈彩。烏龜 — guī（龜）— 是古老的長壽與穩固象徵，將牠安置在茶盤上，即是對悠長歲月與無數沉靜茶席的默禱。Michael 揀選了一小批帶回；每一隻的腹部都輕刻著印記，追溯至丁山那個雨潤的十月午後。因 zhuni 極為透氣，烏龜會迅速養出與你日常所飲茶湯相映的包漿。天天行功夫茶一年後，它將訴說一段世上獨一無二的故事。
